About the Future of Work

The Future of Work Series at UC Davis brings together experts from academia, government, and industry to discuss new and emerging fields of research and employment. The goal of this speaker series is to assist students in thinking more critically about the science and technology-driven problem spaces that will demand extra attention in the coming years, and to encourage students to explore how these problem spaces can be turned into opportunities that will ultimately lead to a fulfilling career path.

Through the Future of Work Series and its website, we hope you’ll gain exposure to exciting new careers being created in both traditional and emerging fields; learn more about the ways in which science and technology are restructuring work and reorganizing society; and be inspired by individuals who have valuable perspectives to share on emerging new industries, the reform of traditional industries, and the future of work itself.
